Here Comes A Hulked-up Blu-ray
June 12, 2008

The Incredible Hulk director, Louis Letterier, will be inserting an additional 70 minutes of footage into the film's release on Blu-ray, according to site Collider.com, and cited by The Man Room.
Because this Hulk is getting loads better reviews than that other Hulk, I'm imaging these extra 70 minutes beyond the cut you'll see in theaters will be in demand. That should bode well for the Blu-ray release, likely headed to stores sometime in the fourth quarter after its big screen premiere this Friday.
Letterier adds that he's probably not going to add as much extra footage to the film's standard DVD release due to disc capacity constraints. Here's a quote from the Collider interview:
"It's whatever we can put on the DVD [since] you're limited to three hours of footage and stuff...So on the Blu-ray I want to put everything  we shot, you know? I'm like, okay you student filmmakers, here's what I did right and here's what I did wrong, and in some of the stuff, in the 70 minutes there's some really great stuff and some really horrible stuff, but you'll see it all you know?"
It's widely known that Incredible Hulk star Edward Norton and its studio Marvel came to blows over the movie's final cut. And Marvel eventually won out with its more boiled down version. I'll be curious about what was left on the cutting room floor, so thanks Blu-ray!
