Super Bowl-ready Blu-ray bundle
January 26, 2009

Just in time for what looks to be a great Super Bowl grudge match, Sharp is offering free Blu-ray players with purchase of a 46-inch or up Sharp HDTV at Best Buy. The deal, which kicked off on Jan. 25, can be as had for as low as $1349, which is the sale price for the Sharp 46-inch HDTV.
I have to see that I'm happy to see some bundle offers in this scarily slumped economy. Following Sony's recent bad news, Philips is the latest manufacturer to announce scores of layoffs on Monday.
It has to be tough on companies to roll out impressive deals in a troubled-economy. But they'll have to offer at least a little something on a selected basis to entice today's hyper budget-conscious consumers to buy. These bundle offers are a safe bet, as retailers and manufacturers get a high register ring from the TV, as well as juice future store traffic, as consumers are set up to now buy Blu-ray titles.
