PS3 God of War Value Pack

August 31, 2009 Timed well to its upcoming $299 PS3 launch, Sony has announced a God of War 1 and God of War II combo title uniquely fitting onto one Blu-ray Disc. The company is pricing the title like a two-for-one special at $39.99.
God of War 1/God of War II marks the first time that Sony has released two video games onto one Blu-ray Disc, confirmed a rep for the company
Sony hopes the deal will keep the torch burning for the franchise. The next installment, God of War III, is set to street in March 2010.
First out for the PS2, Sony says that it has remastered God of War I and II specifically for a PS3 bow.
I think Sony is wise to also consider software when it rallies behind a discounted $299 this month. Ultimately people are going to want to know that there are cool exclusive games for the PS3, before they sink money into buying the console. And it'll be especially nice that players only have to pay $39.99 for two games, when these days they have to plunk down around $60 for one new release title.
