Amazon.com Teases LOTR Blu-ray

Lord of the Rings is coming! Lord of the Rings is coming! Well, at least according to Amazon.com, which is now accepting pre-orders for the franchise trilogy on Blu-ray. The site doesn't divulge a street date for the title, which would come out of the Warner Home Video/New Line camp. But the site says the package spans seven discs and comes tagged with a $99.98 SRP list price, which Amazon.com has docked down to $69.99.
Some of the fan-iest boys and gals might be disappointed to learn that this Blu-ray set features just the movies' theatrical versions, and not the popular extended versions.
Yet fans do seem to be salivating anyway, and have been so for time, blogging away at such sites as AVSForum.com.
