The End of America DVD

Ok, I know it's Christmas Eve and I should be showcasing some Christmas title, but all of those were announced months ago. As we're always looking ahead in the DVD business, here's a title that could interest politically minded consumers with the Inauguration of President Elect Barack Obama just weeks away.
Being released on Inauguration Day (Jan. 20; order now), as the U.S. brings in the next Administration, IndiePix's The End of America is a documentary that looks at the policy changes the Bush Administration enacted that have (and I'm quoting the press release here) "greatly limited individual liberties while increasing the power of government."
The documentary, made by the award-winning filmmakers of The Devil Came On Horseback and The Trials of Darryl Hunt, is based on Naomi Wolf's New York Times bestseller.
The two-disc Director's Edition set of The End of America ($29.95) also will offer extended interviews with the likes of former CIA counter terrorism chief Vincent Cannistraro, author Col. David Antoon and Brigadier General James P. Cullen.
Other special features are commentary by constitutional expert Professor Walter Murphy, the pre-election ending and a post-election update and three featurettes: "Conversations With Anthony Romero, Executive Director, ACLU," "Targeting Minorities" and "Hamptons International Film Festival Premiere."
