Snatch, Cliffhanger, Last Action Hero Blu-ray
November 4, 2009
Sony has lined up three more catalog titles for Blu-ray debut:
First up, Guy Ritchie's Snatch on Dec. 1 (order now; $28.95). The 2000 action comedy starring Benicio Del Toro, Brad Pitt and Jason Statham grossed $30 million.
Exclusive to this Blu-ray version will be a "Snatch Cutting Room" feature, in which fans can edit clips and movies together and share via BD Live. Sony's MovieIQ feature also will be included.
The movie is coming out a few weeks before Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes arrives in theaters on Dec. 25, and fans can enter "The Diamond and Dag Sweepstakes" for a chance to win a trip for two to London and go to www.diamondanddag.com to try "The Pikey Translator" to decode the dialog from the film. And a $5 coupon toward the purchase of Snatch Blu-ray is available on the site.
Coming Jan. 12 (prebook Dec. 10; $24.95 each), are 1993's Cliffhanger amd Last Action Hero.
Cliffhanger will include commentary with director Renny Harlin and star Sylvester Stallone, commentary with the technical crew, an introduction by Harlin, deleted scenes, special effects featurettes, storyboard comparisons and a making-of featurette.
Last Action Hero, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, will be vanilla, except both titles will include MovieIQ.
