G-Force DVD, Blu-ray

September 22, 2009

Another $100 million+ grossing movie has been slated for the release in December; that's at least one $100 million+ grossing movie coming to DVD and Blu-ray every week starting with Disney's Up on Nov. 10. (Check out our Quarterly New Release listing.)

The latest movie slotted into the schedule is Disney's G-Force, which grossed $116.7 million in theaters and will come to DVD and Blu-ray Dec. 15 (prebook Oct. 20).

Disney also is releasing the Disney Channel movie Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, based on the Disney Channel series, the same day, and the studio is offering fans $6 off when they buy both movies.

Waverly Place will be issued as an Extended Edition DVD ($29.99) and include a behind-the-scenes tour with the cast and, for a limited time, a color-changing wishing stone with clip.

G-Force will be available as a single-DVD ($29.99), a two-DVD Deluxe Edition ($39.99) and three-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack ($44.99).

DisneyFile digital copy will be on the Deluxe and Blu-ray editions.

The two-DVD also will include bloopers, deleted scenes, three music videos and two featurettes, "Blaster's Boot Camp" and "G-Force Mastermind."

The Blu-ray will have all of those plus "G-Force Cine-Explore," in which Darwin, Blaster and director Hoyt Yeatman reveal the secrets behind G-Force Covert Operations; "Bruckheimer Animated," a retrospective of the producer's CG work; and the "Acess Granted: Inside the Animated Lab."
