Paramount getting footloose with clips online
April 3, 2008

Paramount is reportedly taking its whole library online, at least in clips.

VB sister publication Variety has an Associated Press report that says Paramount is putting clips of movies such as Footloose and Clueless on virtual 3D online worlds of  There.com and vMTV.

So, fans will be able to say "Be cool" to friends by using a clip of Grease's Danny saying "Be cool". The catch: It'll cost them $1 per snippet.

Now there's a way to monetize online video.
