Studio publicists are suddenly fair game for attack in the increasingly nasty - but sometimes totally entertaining - format war. Moments after Fox sent out its press release Thursday for the Nov. 14 bow of X-Men: The Last Stand on Blu-ray, HD DVD fans began rattling off insults to its DVD PR chief Steve Feldstein in an AVS Forum thread titled "Fox’s Pompous Steve Feldstein Puts the Format War to Rest."

You have to wonder if those HD DVD brats knew that Feldstein is pushing 7 feet tall? Or that he relishes the chance to argue about pretty much anything at all? Maybe Feldstein can gather round his own Blu-ray minions and go on the defensive! That would be so much fun for us media types to see. - By Susanne Ault

Wow! Never realized that VB is so biased in the reporting method. When Fox exec spewing garbage it's called "news", when a group of people countering his garbage is called "attack".
