Possible Lord of the Rings Date

Granted, this is for Amazon in Denmark. But its Nov. 27 date sounds about right for the release, which is already being promoted for pre-orders at the U.S. Amazon.com site. The U.S. site isn't advertising a street date at the moment.
If Nov. 27 holds true for other countries, that would wisely put LOTR smack dab into the high-shopping frame of fourth quarter. And it likely lines up with another probable Blu-ray hit from Warner Home Video, the latest Harry Potter installment Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince landing in theaters on July 15.
After LOTR, I would say the only other hugely anticipated catalog release on Blu-ray is probably the Star Wars franchise. 
However, Warner is not exactly showing all of its cards with its planned LOTR trilogy Blu-ray release, as the set is expected to include just the theatrical versions. The studio could also go in for another fanboy kill with a future release of LOTR's extended editions.
