Sony Revs Up BD at Best Buy, Circuit City

Possibly tied into the May 1 launch of the latest Grand Theft Auto video game installment, Sony is behind a slew of BD-related deals at Best Buy and Circuit City. 
There's a full page ad in Best Buy's latest circular highlighting a 52-inch Sony XBR HDTV, Sony BD player and various Sony titles. Best Buy shoppers will save $600 instantly on the TV. And if they additionally pick up a BD player, they'll save $100 and score it for $299. Plus, shoppers will snag a $10 Best Buy gift card if they purchase two of the featured Sony BD titles, including Superbad and Casino Royale.
Over at Circuit City, there is a buy 2, get 1 free deal on a variety of Sony BD titles, including Superbad and Casino Royale as well.
At this point, certain gamers might be getting a little bored with their Wii systems. And now might be finally the right time to plunk down money for a Playstation 3, now that the biggest game since Halo 3 is about to bow. Unlike Xbox 360-exclusive Halo series, the GTA franchise is available for both PS3 and Xbox 360.
