Whip It this January

Juno star Ellen Page straps on her skates and jams in the roller derby in Whip It, the Drew Barrymore-directed coming-of-age comedy that rung up $13 million at the box office this fall. Fox will release the title on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on Jan. 26 (prebook Dec. 30). Whip It stars Marcia Gay Harden, Juliette Lewis, Jimmy Fallon and debuting director/exec producer Barrymore herself.
Both the Blu-ray and DVD will offer a host of extras, including deleted and extended scenes, an alternate opening and a “Writers Draft” feature with screenwriter Shauna Cross. The Blu-ray edition also contains digital copy.
The Blu-ray carries a suggested retail price of $39.99 while the DVD is priced at $29.98.
