Movie site Jaman.com gets Neil Young exclusive
April 6, 2009
Neil Young is choosing the path less (or maybe never?) chosen for his long-form music video from new album
Fork in the Road. Movie download site
Jaman.com is getting an exclusive on music video
Get Around, in which Young performs the entire songlist from
Fork in the Road. The video will debut for free on the site at midnight tonight, the same day Warner Bros. drops the album in stores.
Get Around follows Young on the road in Texas in his 1959 Lincoln Continental singing songs from his new album.
Jaman has been building itself into a purveyor of niche and foreign films. They claim 1.6 million users, mostly outside of the U.S. It has a deal with TiVo to sell downloads through DVR boxes and is working to make deals to offer its service through more set-tops, CEO Gaurav Dhillon told me in February.
Blu-ray proponent Young will eventually put Get Around out on Blu-ray also, according to his
site.
