You Know You've Made It When Perez Hilton Name Checks You

Many a celebrity is skewered mercilessly by this showbiz blogger, but every A-lister knows deep down that there is no such thing as bad publicity. So yay Blu-ray! You're made it into one of PerezHilton.com's posts.
He does link to a story from one of VB's competitors, which is a profile about BD-Live interactivity for upcoming Disney release Sleeping Beauty. One of these days, maybe he'll link to one of my stories!!
Still, I say it's great that Perez 'gets' the wonder of Blu-ray, titling his post "The Future Is Here." Some of the fun stuff to look forward to with Sleeping Beauty is a Web-enabled personalization feature, where viewers can slot messages into the movie and send them to their friends.
On a negative note, however, many of Perezzer's commenters are hardly supportive of the post. Their complaints range from anger over hearing about yet another new tech gadget to charges that Perez is just shilling to score free products.
But I say Perez has still done a big mainstream service for the format by chatting it up a bit.
